The Dark Side of Tim’s
The Dark Side of Tim’s
Mashup T-shirts are some of my favorites. The Dark Side of Tim’s shirt represents a moment in time that only exists now in memory. At one point on Cannon Hill, a bench sat on the top overlooking Duck Creek. The youth of the town carved many things into the wooden bench. One day, two of the youths started carving the cover from Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon." The town repainted the bench, and the carving was masked by the coats of paint. Being resourceful, the youth took it upon themselves to do some painting of their own. The bench was painted black, and the prism from the album cover was painted in full color. Uncle Tim’s bridge connects Cannon Hill to commercial street, and that is where the mash-up comes from. The shirt is a tribute to that sliver of time and the people who lived it. It glows in the dark too.
